Ares is a piece of peer-to-peer file sharing software that allows you to easily download torrents through a totally free platform that includes a built-in media player.

This software is one in a category of several like it that includes uTorrent, eMule, and BitTorrent. These tools allow you to download images, games, music, apps, movies, and any other file type imaginable over a secure connection. The software is only meant for use with content that isn't protected by copyright. Any content that is protected by copyright can not legally be shared with this software or any like it.

Torrent files are basically connections to other sources where that content is stored. For instance, if you were browsing through Ares and found a file that you wanted to download, the torrent file itself is nothing more than a connection between your system and other systems that have that file. Ares has discovered how to use advanced analysis to make such extraction simple.

Since each seed only produces a slight amount of the total download speed, more seeds translate to more speed. That means if you download a popular file, and you leave it in the Shared folder, others will be able to use your copy of the file as a seed of their own. There are a number of other pieces of software that claim to help improve your Ares download speeds, including Turbo Booster and Ares Galaxy SpeedUp. Unfortunately, there's little evidence that these boosting apps actually work.
